Kevin B. Casey, Business Manager
Nassau Colliseum
On February 28, 2017, I, along with Business Representative Jack Majkut, visited the Nassau Coliseum to see the work being done by Local 25 Brothers and Sisters and to see the progress being made. The Coliseum looks great and the quality of craftsmanship by our Brothers and Sisters was exactly what I expected. I would like to personally thank the Local 25 Foremen, Brian Kelly from B&G Electric and Jim Smith from Difazio Electric, KND Electric; Local 25 Shop Steward Josh Margolis and all the Brothers and Sisters for a job well done. It has been 18 months since the Coliseum closed for renovations.
On April 5, 2017, it will reopen with fellow Long Islander/musician Billy Joel as the first concert at the newly renovated Coliseum. With all the concerts and hopefully the Islanders coming back to Long Island, Local 25 and the new management team will continue to work together at the Nassau Coliseum, as we have done so since 1972.
This job at Nassau Coliseum has created thousands of man hours each year for Local 25. Once again, I would like to say great job to everybody who worked on the new Nassau Coliseum.
